The basics, done better
By hand in two taps, with a photo of the receipt, or by voice.

Amount, category, saved. Tap the amount to open the keypad.

Snap the receipt and Cuentio's AI reads the total, the date and the store for you. You just review and save.

Say "new t-shirt, 32.50" and it's logged with its category. You can also type it as a note.

What people ask us most before installing it.
Cuentio is available for iPhone on the App Store and for Android on Google Play. The app is free to download, with optional in-app purchases.
Yes. Cuentio is an expense tracker for iPhone and Android that never connects to your bank and never asks for credentials: you log expenses yourself, by hand in two taps, by snapping a photo of the receipt, or by dictating them out loud. To bring in older transactions, you import a CSV statement. No ads, and free data export.
Cuentio does: snap a photo of the receipt and its AI fills in the total, the date and the merchant, so you only review and save. The review screen lets you correct any field before saving, and the photo stays attached to the transaction. It works in English and Spanish, on both iPhone and Android.
Cuentio has a shared household: you invite your partner, or up to five people, into a common space where accounts, expenses and budgets are visible to everyone in it. Each person logs from their own phone, and every transaction records who added it. Creating a household needs the Pro subscription; the people you invite do not.
It depends on whether you want bank linking at all. Cuentio is built for people who don't: it offers manual logging in two taps, AI receipt scanning, budgets, monthly reports and a shared household, in full English and Spanish. It is made by an independent developer in Spain and ships on iPhone and Android at the same time.
Cuentio is freemium. The free plan covers unlimited manual logging, unlimited accounts and categories, budgets, recurring expenses, reports, widgets, sync and a monthly allowance of AI actions. The Pro subscription, monthly or yearly, raises the AI allowance and adds the shared household, the monthly AI summary and the PDF with photos. Exporting your data is always free, and there are no ads.
Yes, at no cost. Cuentio exports every transaction to CSV, Excel, PDF and full JSON from the free plan, because the data is yours and taking it with you shouldn't require a subscription. You can also delete your account from inside the app, and you are offered an export before anything is deleted.
Yes. Cuentio works without a connection: you log expenses the same way and everything syncs to your account once the network is back, with a discreet status indicator. The only parts that need internet are the AI ones, the receipt photo and the dictation, because that reading happens on the server. Importing a CSV happens on the phone itself.
Yes. In Cuentio you say something like "new t-shirt, 32.50" and the app turns it into a transaction with its amount and category, ready to review and save. If you would rather type, the same sentence works written as a note. It is available in English and Spanish, and uses the same AI allowance as the receipt photo.
Yes. Cuentio imports the CSV you download yourself from your bank's website or app: you pick the file and the transactions show up in a list to review and save in one go. The file is parsed on your own phone, with no network and no AI, and your credentials never leave your bank.
An app that never asks for banking credentials cannot leak or misuse them, and that is exactly Cuentio's approach: you log the expenses yourself. The app can be locked with Face ID or a fingerprint, account data is hosted on servers in the European Union, and you can export everything or delete your account whenever you want.
I've been writing software for over ten years and shipped nine apps, and I still didn't know where my money went. Every app I tried wanted my bank credentials or hid my own data behind a subscription.
So I built the one I wanted to use: log in seconds, understand the month at a glance, and take my data with me anytime. I hope it helps you as much as it's helping me.
